David Cummings specialises in hoaxes: the pain-free method of including comedy in your conference or after-dinner presentation.

How does it work?
David appears as an Englishman, because Australians especially hate being patronised by poms. You will introduce him as a consultant paying a flying visit to Australia to consult with your company on your area of expertise.

After about 15 minutes talking about the hot button areas of your industry David moves seamlessly into comedy, still in character. This I what makes him different from other hoaxers. You get the deception and then 20 minutes of really funny comedy.

A briefing session leading up to the presentation always provides enough information to get the serious part accurate. The object is to bamboozle the audience. If you approve he will pick out people in the audience (selected by you) to be roasted. Nothing heavy, all politically correct, but a lot of fun. Great to open a conference or to close it or liven it up in the middle. After dinner or lunch. Hey, that's versatile.

David Cummings began his career as a club comedian in London. He was a television writer, writing comedy shows for people like Dave Allen, Dick Emery, Kenneth Williams and Rolf Harris. He ran his own production company making commercials and records.

David was brought to Australia by Reg Grundy, writing and producing for Grundy TV. Then he moved on to corporate videos and newsletters, and writing and producing presentations for major companies like Qantas, Trafalgar, L&G, BHP, Wyeth, Seiko and UBD.
For the last ten years he has back where he started, at the lectern making people laugh. How? With a hoax, folks.
