James Mathison

James is highly praised for both his humility and his talent by his co-stars. Andrew G describes James as one of his heroes. James' dream of being a rock star was replaced by the dream job of interviewing rock stars when he decided to enter Channel [V]'s Reporter Search competition. James has gone to to become one of Channel [V]'s most popular presenters.

His passion for music, and his natural ability to connect with people made him the perfect candidate to co-host the phenomenon that took Australia by storm - Australian Idol.

In addition to his Australian Idol and Channel [V] commitments, James hosted the 2007 ARIA's and appeared in his first feature film - BoyTown.

In April 2006 James was awarded an ASTRA award for Favourite Male Personality.
