John has also been a guest lecturer at many of Australia's leading Universities as well as the Australian Institute Of Management. He has covered topics such as; Training, Enterprise Bargaining, Marketing, Export Marketing and Advertising.
In 1989, when Driza-Bone changed ownership and John was appointed Managing Director, sales were approximately 5 million dollars per annum and exports were less than $200,000 per annum. In 1994 Driza-Bone's sales reached over 16 million dollars of which 8 million were exports.
They are now marketing in 20 countries while proudly manufacturing only in Australia. They recently opened a second factory and now employ over 200 people which is more than three times the amount of people they employed back in 1989 (60 people).
Driza-Bone was the first Australian company to implement the Enterprise Bargaining Agreement within the Clothing Industry (1993).
Because of his background John is often asked to speak on topics such as Industrial Relations, Exporting, Manufacturing and Marketing.
