Formed in April 1990, Le Club Nerd are without doubt the most unlikely looking rock stars you'll ever see. The fashion statement of the early 90's, Le Club Nerd have gone on to become on of Australia's most loved and respected bands. Yes, long before the retro revival had really hit, The Nerds had already teamed their impeccable dress sense and outrageous personalities with classic hits from classic artists from an era when music was ... FUN! The result ... the world's coolest band has arrived!
At a time when the Australian music scene appeared to becoming extremely stale Le Club Nerd was the first band to put fun back into Rock 'n' Roll with their outrageous tribute to the Pop World's most colourful era, the 70's and 80's.

With a huge repertoire of over 80 songs, Le Club Nerd offer an outrageously funny, high energy show, always full of surprises. Le Club Nerd are not just your average band.

After a decade of performances across Australia, Le Club Nerd had become not only one of the biggest pulling acts in the country, they have also gained the respect of the Australian Entertainment Industry winning 'Mo Award' nominations in 1997 and 1998 for production show of the year. These nominations proving Le Club Nerd to be a very rare act which can successfully cross over from the Australian Rock Circuit into the world of Cabaret and in the process entertaining diverse audiences ranging in age from 18 - 80. They have achieved this by tailoring their show to each performance, keeping it fresh and exciting.

With the sudden passing of founding member, Helen Highwater in 1998, the remaining members quickly decided to keep Le Club Nerd alive in her honour. And carry on they have, performing with all the passion they could muster. With a quick influx of new material, The Nerds took on 1999 and triumphed with an all new five piece "all male" show (as no one could ever replace Helen). Percy Sludge, Barry Tone, Chester Draws, Victor d'Mower and Duane Pipe are still the most entertaining band in the country. Even more excessive than ever before, these lovable characters will have any audience in the palm of their hands from the moment they take the stage.
