Libbi Gorr

Libbi Gorr is one part journalist, one part comic; broadcaster and tv interviewer extraordinaire and undeniably all woman. On the hottest issues raging around the country, from Politics to Pop Culture, Social Issues and Beyond, Libbi's skills as facilitiator, interviewer, commentator and and quick witted quipper, shows just why she has become one of Australia's most loved public people. Her unique speaking and creative bent have built an amazing career spanning radio, television, writing and producing. Libbi too has developed into one of the countries most innovative film and television 'behind the scenes' talents.

As a trailblazer, innovator, woman in a man's world and empowering comic philosopher using sport, politics, and feel good life issues as a base, Libbi is in demand as an MC, after dinner speaker, conference facilitator, debater and event content designer.

TV is from where audiences know and love and respect Libbi. She first leapt to national prominence through her creation of Australia's iconic Elle McFeast, the fearless wild child girl adventurer with unprecedented access to world sport, politics and social issues on the ABC, and then Network 10.  Since 2001, when Libbi went back to school to study scriptwriting, her stand up performance work has blossomed with intelligence, heart and humor.

With Richard Fidler Libbi hosted 2DAYFM's Cosmopolitan show, putting her spin on love and relationships.  In 2001, Libbi emerged in front of the cameras to reveal her humanity, thought and self depreciating humor in The Marie Claire What Women Want series for Network 10 in 2001/2002.  Her speeches on body image, self esteem, sisterhood and friendship were innovating, honest and refreshing television.

Whilst working on her first feature length screenplay, Libbi  has charmed us with her profiles for Sunday Life magazine, casual work for ABC local Radio and in 2007 a daytime TV stint on the National Nine Network, doing what she does best - connecting people and issues, with heart and humor.  Libbi currently holds a prized  ambassadorship for Planet Ark, reflecting her concern for environmental issues, along with her ongoing work to promote healthy eating and positive body image with Jenny Craig.
