Lincoln Hall is one of Australia's best known mountaineers, and the author of 'Dead Lucky' the book of his famous and miraculous survival on Mt. Everest in May 2006. Hall had reached the summit, but on the way down became seriously ill, and despite the efforts of the Sherpas with him, he collapsed and was declared dead. His body was left high on the mountain but miraculously he lived to tell the story - a story of willpower, survival and mystery, from a deep personal perspective and insight - with inspiration and thought-provoking lessons and insights for all walks of life.

At age 15, Lincoln Hall discovered rockclimbing and was amazed to find a whole new world that required intense focus, precise judgement and the willingness to take risks. Stepping into the unknown provided Lincoln with huge rewards. His life became a quest to share these discoveries - not only about adventure, but also about the hidden potential of life, and he continues to pursue this quest professionally as an adventure guide, a writer, a speaker and a corporate trainer. These have been supported by other skills and knowledge he has picked up along the way, such as photography, web knowledge and what it takes to stay active and healthy decade after decade.

Lincoln wrote his first book at age 22 when recovering from frostbite gained on his first Himalayan expedition. It was an exciting climb but, according to Lincoln, the book was badly written and he was lucky none of the dozen publishers he sent it to would publish it. His next attempt, "White Limbo" was an international success seven years later, and gave him the confidence to write a novel, guidebooks, more mountaineering titles and three biographies.

Lincoln is an experienced speaker and corporate presenter. His presentations are entertaining, motivating and inspiring.

He has worked as a trekking guide, has edited adventure magazines, and his work as a facilitator on Human Resource Development projects has given him a broad perspective on corporate and management issues. He is a Director of the Australian Himalayan Foundation, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of the people of the Himalaya through education, health and environment projects and was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 1987 for his services to mountaineering.
