This unique, multi-instrumental duo has the versatility of offering many different musical genres. This exceptional combination includes the soulful, sophisticated vocals of Sarah Mathias combined with the instrumental talents of Scott Browne on keyboards, trumpet, flugelhorn and trombone. With over 25 years combined musical experience, they can cater to any genre, from jazz to dance floor hits. Having both graduated from the QLD Conservatorium of Music with a Bachelor of Music, this professional duo has been a leader in the National and International Corporate arenas.
Scott Browne is a performer, composer, producer, arranger who plays trumpet, trombone, flugelhorn and keyboards. After 15 years of performing, writing, arranging and producing, Scott's musical talents are boundless. His skills are highly sought-after and his passion for music refinement has been heard worldwide.
Scott has completed a Bachelor of Music where he was awarded "Most Outstanding Instrumentalist" and has studied jazz at the Conservatorium of Music. A truly accomplished trumpet and keyboard player, Scott has toured with countless orchestras, artists, bands and musical acts including an American tour with the Queensland Concert Orchestra and a tour in Asia with Andrew Lloyd Webber's hit musical "Cats" performing with some of Australia's premier musicians.
Scott played keyboard and trumpet on an Australian tour with legendry act "The Little River Band" where he gained valuable experience. Scott then formed the highly successful corporate outfit "Midnight Groove".
Sarah Mathias is a vocalist, performer and songwriter who plays piano and percussion; and at just 25 years of age, Sarah has already established herself as an experienced contemporary vocalist. From the age of 16, Sarah began her recording career, singing lead vocals on a variety of projects, including performances with the Queensland Philharmonic Orchestra.
At the age of 18, Sarah won Best Female Vocal at the QLD Recording Association (QRA) Sunnie Awards for her own composition and went on to begin her study at the QLD Conservatorium of Music in Brisbane. In 2004, Sarah graduated with High Distinction from the Con with a Bachelor of Music, majoring in Jazz/Contemporary vocals. Sarah is a stylistically diverse performer, having gained valuable experience in many different musical settings. Sarah has done numerous international recordings and performed live to large and small crowds both internationally and in the local Club, Corporate and Theatre scenes.
Sarah's ambitions for the future include travelling the world with Midnight Groove, making her very own album and becoming a successful session worker and much demanded performer.
